The search for absolute quality
The choice of each different material used to build a Marchi kitchen – the range of woods, the paint and lacquer finishes and other details, is fundamental for each project design. It is important to us that our customers are able to recognise the exceptional quality of their customised kitchen from the very beginning.
Our units are made from 25 millimetre block board, while doors and drawers are solid wood with special paint finishes. Our cabinets are lightweight, perfectly stable, and all metal components and chromed hinges are guaranteed for a life-time of daily use.
Both shallow and deep drawers have a solid wood structure mounted on Tandem concealed slides with incorporated Blumotion mechanisms for smooth silent glide motion. The weight capacity is up to 30 Kg and slides are mounted on total extraction runners for complete drawer access.
Our handles are produced exclusively to our company design in top quality materials and with a unique style, specifically designed for daily practical use.

Marbles, granites, agglomerate materials
Natural materials are a refined tasteful choice when furnishing a kitchen. New processing techniques provide very high quality standards while maintaining the possibility of customising each single component giving it a unique aspect and making it even more exclusive.
Marchi kitchen counter tops are made from marble, granite or agglomerate.
The surfaces are finished using a special polishing technique exclusive to the Marchi Group. Each stone, marble or granite component is subject to a finishing process to the highest quality standards. Cutting, milling and polishing operations are performed by qualified personnel using the latest machinery, and each piece is personally controlled during each production stage through to packing.
The company provides a range of surface finishes; counter tops can be polished, or antiqued, but also bush-hammered, flamed or spatulated, and customised to the individual style of each kitchen in the Marchi range.

Small stone tiled counter tops
Natural stone surfaces can be finished with a range of different methods according to the required effect. Small tiles measuring 10x10x1,7 cm are glued to a marine ply support base, 27 millimetres thick, grouted with special bi-component resin, and then finished. This method guarantees that each stone component is applied and finished to highest quality standards. Cutting, milling and polishing are performed by hand by qualified personnel and each piece is personally controlled during each production stage through to packing.

Pewter
Only the best quality brass and steel are used in Marchi kitchens, combined with wood and stone to complete the design effect. On some of the more prestige models pewter details have been inserted, an extremely refined element that provides the kitchen with an exclusive character and absolutely unique style.
Pewter is an alloy with a history dating back to ancient Roman times; it is mainly composed of tin and is the fourth most precious metal after platinum, gold, and silver. The variety of shapes that can be formed using this material is limited only by the imagination of the designer. The versatility of pewter is endless and productive methods and technologies are constantly improved to satisfy the high quality standards that the Marchi clientele expects and is familiar with.
Because of its original and decorative appearance, in the hands of our talented craftsmen, the pewter details increase in beauty with age and add a touch of refined elegance to Marchi kitchens.

Opus signinum
Opus signinum was already commonly used in Roman times, both as flooring in aristocratic homes, and on the walls and ceilings of the thermal baths: traces of ancient Rome, now long gone. When "Coccio" (fragments of earthenware) is ground in varying granulate sizes and mixed with a binder and inert materials, it can be used to form a wide range of different products.
Opus signinum is not a material for those who like a smooth uniform surface; it has a fine crackle finish or minutely wrinkled surface, and is never smoothed excessively, but left to show its natural surface which has a pleasantly tactile feel to the hand.

The "spatulated" finish is applied by hand and sanded several times between applications; the surface is slightly uneven, but pleasantly smooth thanks to a treatment using oil and liquid repellent products. Finally the surface is wax polished providing a unique, silky-smooth finish.
The hand-crafted quality of our product range is the result of work performed after years of experience and expertise; talent combined with natural materials give that touch of extra value, not only providing the customer with beautiful furniture, but also a piece of traditional Italian art and history at the same time.
